December 24, 2010: A Mosaic Christmas

Dan explores how the genealogy of Jesus was intentionally written by Matthew to include the flaws and brokenness that led up to his birth. The men and women in his human bloodline were of course less than perfect, and Christ came to take on their humanity to deeply know our struggle.
While remaining fully God, he took on human form and came from an imperfect line... to save the imperfect.

December 12, 2010: Canceled, Due to Snow

Snowed out, but still a great Walking Dusty to learn from.
DecemBer 5, 2010: Be a Spectacle...

Dan talks about the Acts 2 church and how their actions caused those around them to wonder if they were all drunk. (?!)
Are we living our devotion to Christ in a way that causes others to think we’re a spectacle? How can we live our faith and be the Church in such a way that our society views us as over-the-top?
They gave more, loved more and served more than their peers. We’re encouraged to look like the first church...

November 28, 2010: True Thanksgiving

Studying through Acts 1, Dan talks about what “thanksgiving” really means in our culture. We’re thankful for our stuff...
In the same way we say “I love my spouse”, then later say “I love pizza”, do we really get the meaning of the word we say to the pizza delivery guy and the word we use to tell God how we understand and appreciate how blessed we are?

November 21, 2010: Salvation Army Follow-up

After an amazing night of 3rd:culture, read the Walking Dusty to dig deeper.
November 14, 2010: 3rd:culture

Dan takes us through the idea of third culture living and what it means as believers to live as Christ did. Defined as “the mindset and will to love, learn and serve in any culture even in the midst of pain and discomfort,” the culture created by taking ours’ and blending it with theirs’, woven through with Jesus’ love is unique unto itself. Check the 3rd:culture page routinely for opportunities to live this principle with others in the 1MOSAIC community, but always remember this is a continual, daily living mindset!

November 7, 2010: ZERO

Dan helps us understand the call of any person who is “on mission” - not just with us here at 1MOSAIC, but the Church as a whole.
If we don’t consciously fight for our friends, neighbors, communities and world until there is no hunger, no slavery, no homelessness, no injustice and no person who hasn’t heard the message of salvation through Christ, we have missed Christ’s call on our lives.
“Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.”
- James 4:17

October 24, 2010: LOVE - LIVE - LEAD

Dan talks about our mission statement, “to Love, Live and Lead like Jesus” and what it means in our day-to-day lives. Bringing these three things together enables believers to be the church all the time. Remember- if you say you “go to church”, that means you leave it!
Be the Church, in every moment...
